Huang Guofu lost his arms in an electrical accident at the age of four, but never became discouraged. Instead, he pursued his dreams by painting with his feet. 

There’s nothing that says “shit son you need to step up your game and get REAL with this jam” quite like somebody that has better technique with their feet than you have with your hands.

So this is pretty much a big “you can do it” to anybody that thinks they just “can’t do art” even though they want to. You gotta have drive, son! You gotta have initiative!

This dude isn’t made of different stuff than you, he’s still flesh and bones. You just need to barrel through doubt and idleness with the power of your dreams! Overcome all obstacles in your way, and only then can you call yourself THE REAL DEAL(c).

That picture is beautiful. I gotta say though, foot-painters (and mouth-painters) aren’t that unusual. At least not where I come from. I have a fairly large collection of Christmas cards with motives done by several different people with disabilities preventing them from using their hands for painting.

But I gotta say: Holy shit his balance! I have trouble just *standing* on one leg, much less actually doing something other than panicky flailing with the other one - but then I do have exceptionally poor balance, I can fall over my own feet while sitting down.

This is like… wow. That must have taken him SO much practice. I mean, besides the art-practice that usually goes into becoming a good artist, no matter what your abilities otherwise are. Or maybe I’m unduly impressed because balance of this level is utterly inconceivable to my badly coordinated self? >_<
