… yeah. rihanna hasn’t been the same person, probably.

but you know what if rihanna did the same shit every fucking time people would have been sick of her. yeah, i believe her life probably had an effect on her music but the change WAS STILL INEVITABLE.

and if you think she shouldn’t have changed after that happened to her then you need to take a seat and reconsider your life/choices.

I have a lot of feelings about people judging survivors for changing after traumatic events, especially since I notice this reaction most often when the survivor is a POC. It’s like they really believe that POC are not human enough to be traumatized, or to need to find a new center from which to function in the aftermath.
